Mother's day- kids missing
Mother's day was a great day. Maybe not from your traditional standards, mother surrounded by kids doting on her every need, but SO relaxing. My parents took the triplets for the weekend. They will bring them back tomorrow. I woke up Sunday with only Ian and Hadley to care for. It was an easy day. While I miss the girls, it was very nice to go out for lunch, and dinner, with no needy preschoolers. Kevin made me breakfast in bed, gave me a massage gift certificate, and let me sleep in. Ian had made me a cool flower pot at school, and I only had to wake up when I did because he couldn't wait to give it to me. We went to church, putzed around, and even got in a little shopping. I read my book without the normal, "mommy I am firsty" interruptions. I feel a little guilty being without them, but everyone needs a break now and then. My parents could not have done a nicer thing for me. As far as I am concerned this counts as birthday and Christmas this year too. Knowing that the kids are safe and happy allows me some much needed rest, and regrouping. That said- can't wait to see them tomorrow.
