A scary day. Kevin yells for me to come outside, I hear the panic. He is holding Holly who had been helping him pull weeds, and trim. Blood is spattered all over the deck, and is all over Holly's clothes and face. Kevin thinks it is coming from her ear, but turns out it is a deep cut on the scalp. After a trip to the pediatric ER, we come home with a mended head. Three staples. She did great-- no tears, she charmed the staff at the hospital, and is as sweet as always. The cut came from her falling into the egressed window well of the basement. This parenting thing is exhausting.
School starts for Ian tomorrow, and we all go to the dentist. Life begins again at the school pace I love....
