2014 "Year of the Blog" here we come

Kevin is pretty amazing sometimes.  If he wants something badly enough, he has this loony ability to stick with it until it is achieved.  In 2013, he ran 3 miles. Every. Single. Day....... (at least if he makes it 2 more days he did).  He picks a mountain and climbs it.  He chooses a river and canoes it, this one time he saw a girl and ended up with a really great wife....

SO- when he starts in, which he always does on resolutions for the new year, I have to try really hard to come up with things I either really WANT to do, or things that will be relatively easy to do.  Otherwise I look like a fool by about January 6th.  Two days ago the topic was broached.  I had to start thinking, and I think I have come up with 3.

1.  I want to write in my blog every day.  That may not be the most interesting read for anyone but me, but my kids have started to enjoy looking back on it.  It makes a really killer journal and scrapbook all in one.  So there it is, I will think of something to say, even if it is simply to record the day for their benefit.  As an added bonus it reminds me to take more pictures.

2. I want to keep up with the laundry.  This is more of a family resolution.  I will not be doing this alone.  It is a job for all of us, and frankly now that I am working a few days each week, the time is just not there.  My job is to organize us, and make the system work whatever it may be.

3. I want to foster 25 animals.  So far we have had 39 kittens, and 6 puppies.  I don't want to fall below 25 this year.  It is really not that hard (unless they die, then it is really hard).  Our cats don't seem to care my kids love them, and I almost always have a sleepy kitten to snuggle on a bad day.

I reserve the right to edit this until midnight on the 31st....
