A quick update. Quiet here tonight. Kevin took Ian to see cars again. This is officially the first movie he has ever asked to see twice in the theater.. ahh takes me back to E.T. The girls are in my bed watching Dora on DVR (I LOVE TECHNOLOGY).
Jess and Riley were here for 12 days, and we were able to cram a bunch of activity into the trip. The zoo, the waterpark, chuckie cheese, Six Flags, and even a girls night out to the movies. ( I think Kevin just wanted the remote to himself) They returned safely to Arizona on Tuesday, and we returned to the reality of daily life.
Ian has been kicking butt in the pool. I think it is pretty safe to call him the fastest kid his age on his team. (Still could change, but he really continues to amaze us -he started last year as the slowest kid on the team) He is pleased to have earned nothing less than a red ribbon in his individual events this year, and his times have qualified him for the city championship meet in every stroke he has had a chance to swim. He is gunning for the team record in freestyle and backstroke, and we are hoping that he gets to swim those events enough to make it happen. The problem now is trying to keep his little head from swelling. I think he gets these issues from his dad. I will try to post some of the excellent pictures that my neighbor has taken of him if I can get them sent via e-mail. He has the best camera, and a much better eye than me.
The girls are growing up as if in fast forward right now. Each day they do something that either amazes or horrifies me. Ella's new favorite word is "damn it" yes , that is my weakness swear word coming back to haunt me. The interesting thing is she has found new ways to use it, that I don't remember modeling for her. Such as, " come here damn it" and " give it to me damn it" She is also a fan of using in in succession "damn it, damn it, damn it" must mean more that way.
Jilly really is trying hard to learn the potty thing. She loves panties, and talks about going on the potty all day. She is also waking up dry which I couldn't even do after 12 hours these days. Hopefully the potty fairy will come train her, as I just can't get motivated.
I really am starting to believe there was some sort of mix-up at the hospital with Holly. She is so laid back compared to our other kids that I know there has to be different genetic material. She loves EVERYONE, and talks to EVERYONE. She tells people she just met "I love you" and will give half of anything she has to anyone who wants it.
Hopefully that updates our summer sufficiently for the moment. I am going to post a random assortment of pictures that I have taken recently.

Way to go IAN-what an awesome swimmer you must be!!
Keep enjoying the summer--it will be gone before we know it.
Are you coming to Iowa anytime this summer?? I would love to see you if you are! :-)
Thanks for the nice words. We were going to come for a 15 yr reunion, but I hear that is not happening.....
