Back to school preparation

Today was a pretty good day. Not too much happened, moved along at a decent clip, and is now at that point when Ian is content to watch TV, and the girls are in bed.

Ian and I went over to meet the teacher today. He was a nervous wreck. I am glad that is over. It always feels like something to get through.

Yesterday I went to parents night at the preschool. Endless forms that they can't Xerox for some reason, and not too much new info there. I did find out that Holly will be allowed to attend in a pull-up if needed. I have to go over and change any accidents that she has. I think the exception has more to do with the possibility of me pulling out 1/3 of the class a week before tuition is due, than genuine empathy, but hey-- whatever works.

Tucking the girls in tonight was a true joy. They couldn't have been sweeter. I don't know why, but some nights are like that. Jilly is sleeping with her clothes on, and cuddling a tiny orange Bible. I don't let them have books in bed (if you saw the shreds I deal with, you'd get it), but I figured that it was just wrong to tell her she couldn't take her Bible to bed. ( maybe that's why she chose to stay clothed?)
