weekend update

Here we are in March again. Hard to believe that we've nearly made it through another winter. Notice I said nearly- reality usually hits with a nasty spring snowstorm and 12 degree temps about 2 days later...

The kids were thrilled to be outside. We rode scooters, bikes, and even went to the playground today. Church was a lot easier without the bulky coats, and mad dash into the building. I felt more relaxed to be there, able to focus.

Ian went to his first school friend sleepover on Friday. It was kind of hard for me to let him go. He had a blast, and claims to have been awake until midnight.

The girlfriends (as they now call themselves) Spent a lot of time with their dad this weekend. Mom was preoccupied with the semi-annual clothing resale for her multiples group. (I spent most of the profits on more crap, but it was fun.) They are all still alive, so I guess that the girls went easy on their dad feeling his rusty status.

Hadley ate applesauce for the first time-- happy to report she thinks it is about the greatest thing EVER.

Kevin painted everything that would stand still. Okay maybe just the basement, and the brass fireplace piece, but it sure seems like he did a lot.

We have exactly 6 days to get the house back together for the neighborhood progressive dinner party. We are the hosts for dessert.

Pretty quiet here- not too much happening other than that. It was a good couple of days.
