The best heart

Last week Ian went to Feed My Starving Children. It is a place that packages meals for countries where children simply do without food. He was very touched by the ministry. He was even compelled to pray out loud for the youth group when no one else raised their hands. He has talked a lot about what a great experience it was this past week, and diligently collected quarters to fill one of those M&M mini containers. If he returns it they can feed 82 more people. Then they will give him another container. He has his first full, and has a stack of quarters for the next one. He shakes his head when he finds a quarter just lying around. "This is going to help feed more people" what a waste it is just laying on the dresser or floor. I love that he is touched by this. He has a very genuine, good heart. God has a plan for him too-- I just need to remember this when his pre-teen angst is kicking in.

I love that!! It sounds like that organization has done as much for their volunteers as it has done for the poor.

This is such an inspiring post. My name is Abigail Pogrebin; I'm an identical twin and former 60 Minutes producer who just published a book about twins called "One and the Same." I think any parent of twins or multiples will find much to chew on and maybe some guidance as to how to dodge pitfalls of doubleness. I'd love to speak to you about the possibility of a book review and/or author Q&A. My email is apogrebin@gmail.com, website:www.abigailpogrebin.com.
