Ian here: Vacation was great. I didn't mind the long car ride too much. I set a new personal record for consecutive hours of playing nintendo DS, and used the rest time from that watching season five of the Simpsons. My parents will be spending the rest of the summer turning me away from the influence of Bart. Charlotte was cool. I slept in a tent, played outside, ignored bedtimes, and even got to pick out whatever I wanted for my last birthday at Target. Riding "shotgun" part of the trip was a new thing that changed my view of car trips.
The beach totally rocked. I spend hours on my boogie board, and was allowed to navigate the pools and waterpark under the supervision of the lifeguards instead of going at the pace of the three year olds. I went to "kids night out" at the beach for games, a trek to the boardwalk, pizza, and a magic show. Count me in next year.
