Especially when you are traveling in a car full of kids.
We spent 24 of the past 48 hrs getting back home with a small detour to pick up our baby girl and the dog. I would love to report a smooth, easy trip, but Holly puked about 1/2 of it, and there was just so much bickering and boredom. It was about 15 hours in when I would have spent our retirement for a pair of ruby slippers, or a plane ticket, but we pulled through, and it is truly sweet to be back!
Hadley had a fabulous time, and has added many new words to her vocabulary since we last saw her. As much as we missed her, I just can't see how 14 hrs in an amusement park in 95 degree heat would be fun for her, or how she would have stood the missed naps, and the late nights. She was much happier with her a-ma and a-pa. Thanks again guys!
