One Week Old

"Kevin, where is the baby?"
"I left her upstairs, I thought you would bring her down"
Yep, there she was right where we left her. Sleeping well, like a baby. It has only taken a week of sleep deprivation to forget that she was there. Seriously though, I am dog tired tonight. Painfully tired. The problem is that I have a hard time with short bursts of sleep. If I go down now, she'll need fed in an hour. I'll feel worse waking up, than staying up. I love newborns, but I forgot how much I hate the newborn routine. She is as easy as a newbie can be, and we feel really blessed to have her.
