Departure Day: the Triplets grieve, Hadley breathes a sigh of relief

Hadley finally realized that we were not "keeping" her cousin that she saw as a threat to her toys and status. She and Ava even shared a brief moment of common play shaking the fireplace doors before she shoved her to the floor. (yes, I think we need to work on her social skills) Ella, Holly, and Jilly have asked repeatedly when their cousins are coming back, and when they can go to their house in Charlotte (which they also equate to a trip to the beach). Ian loves them all and is very smitten with the new sweetie, though still not understanding how his Aunt and Uncle had every opportunity to choose the gender of their new child, and still chose a girl. Hadley will thank them later when she and her same age cousin are best of friends. Baby battles aside, we had a nice visit, and shared some of those moments of laughter that leave your sides aching. It is always too long between visits with these guys, and we always wish they lived a bit closer. Back to the drone of regular life, and in our world, endless house projects.
