A little RANT about customer service

We went to Lowes on Saturday afternoon to look at carpet choices. Although it is probably not the job of the Lowes employees to care that we took the time to shoe, jacket, and buckle 5 kids for the trip, it would be nice to be acknowledged by the 3+ carpet people who were sitting around doing nothing. It would have been nice if the guy we finally managed to get to talk to us was not a complete jackass. There is nothing worse than going somewhere fully planning on giving them your business, and finding that they don't really even want it. Mission accomplished, carpet will come from somewhere else. I also want it stated for the record that I find the middle aged male employees to be by far both the most lazy, and condescending type. Those guys in their mid-late 50's who pre-judge the customer and decide when they walk in whether they are worth bothering with. You know the guy who looks kind of pissed that you have a question. The guy who acts like if you are planning to buy carpet, you should have studied their company's policy before coming to the store. There has to be someone else out there who is looking for a job..... RANT OVER-- back to my usual pleasant self.....
