Let there be light

After 3 years of wanting it, I finally got an overhead light in the dining room today. We switched the dining and living rooms around shortly after moving in the house in order to fit our mammoth dining room set. The drawback to this is that there was no light over the table. We have had many family dinners in a dim lamp lit space. I have actually had to plan my Thanksgivings around the fact that the fall darkness will take over the room. I have been prattling on about wanting an overhead light, being met by my two workmen (Kevin and my Dad) with some bit of resistance. I think they were both pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it went. I am happy that the only wall that has to be repaired is in my newly remodeled pantry.
