The girls' school took their semi-annual field trip today. We went to the grocery store. I thought it was going to be pretty lame, but the kids actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was FREE so, that was a bonus too. They were schooled on types of produce, the deli, the bakery, and even allowed to "check" groceries. I was pleased that my kids were at least as well behaved, and able to pay attention as the others. How they do with their peers is always a little worrisome to me, as they are by far the youngest in the class. One little guy called another an "idiot" when he thought that the zucchini was a pickle, and I had to chuckle as Ella smacked her forehead with her hand, and shook her head like "I can't believe he just did that." All in all a good day.
