In 2004, we literally chose our house in 1 day of looking. I liked a lot about it, namely garage/yard size, and the proximity to the school. There was lots of stuff I knew would be easy to change, namely wallpaper and white carpet. The one thing I knew I had to live with, that would not be changing was the Tudor style construction. I hated the look, but there was not much to do about it. Tudor houses are the ones that you normally see that are white and brown or white and black with the cross-hatching wood planks. They are ugly,(my editor says I should not say that, as we are not the only people to own, one. So I will say they are simply not my favorite style) and date the houses around here to the early 1990's just as surely as a mullet hairstyle of the guy in the Christmas card photo standing out front.
Kevin started a paint job to modify that look a few weeks ago, and now has 3/4 of the house completed. I am happy with how it is looking now, and I can't see us missing the white/brown anytime soon.

The best "before" shot I could find, plus the girls were so little and cute here!
