Kindergarten here we come!

The girls had their well-check for kindergarten yesterday. I think everyone should get to take 3 five year olds at least once for a doctor visit after they've asked if they are getting shots. They weighed, measured, checked eyes, ears, nose, throat, tummy, spine, and I even got to hold the cup for 3 urine samples.....

The nurse asked if we had any other children, to which Holly pipes up "yes we have 5 kids, but Mom only really wanted 2 kids!" In context, Ella had asked me if I wanted to have triplets when I was a little girl like her. I had told them that I only planned to have 2 kids, but God knows how many you really need, and I got to have 5.

Then on to gross motor skills questions. Can they all pedal a bike with training wheels? Jilly says," We ride our bikes all the time, but we NEVER wear our helmets." Gee thanks honey....

Time for shots. Don't worry they hardly hurt for a second. "we know-- our Dad gave our Mom shots in her butt every day, and she doesn't hurt at all" Context being that I was trying to help them know that I have had lots of shots, even showing them where in my hip I got a progesterone shot every day in order to have them.

9 shots, nine cool band aids, and a whole bunch of treats later we were out the door towards home. The biggest trauma? Holly snuck a peek at Ella's special animal band aid before she got to see it after her shot.

The stats:
Holly is 50% in weight and 75% in height.
Jilly is 30% in weight and 75% in height.
Ella is 30% in weight and 50% in height.

All are pretty caught up to their peer group, and none are quite tall enough for space mountain.... Healthy as my own brood of proverbial horses.

Aubreyl has her appointment tomorrow! I'm afraid she won't be such a good sport when it comes to the shots....and who knows what else!
