Each year from Dec 1-24, Zeb the elf comes to stay at our house. The kids are more excited than ever this year to get up each morning to see what he brings, or what trouble he has been into while they were sleeping. So far this year he "deputized" a whole line of stuffed animals to help watch for the naughty/nice list with little metal badges, set up an e-mail account where the kids can reach him. zebtheelf@sbcglobal.net, and left each child a PEZ dispenser hidden on his/her photograph on the wall. He will remind them to put shoes out for ST Nickolas day, plan a treasure hunt, and even leave them the story of the candy cane. If your children do not have an elf, I highly recommend asking Santa for one-- it is lots of fun!! Not to mention there are very few things that cause my four biggest kids to seek each other in group, and cooperate first thing in the morning. I love hearing them trying to be quiet while they search together to see what the event of the day was....
