I have asked and asked Ian if he might cancel this year, and just stay seven. He refused over and over reminding me that everyone must grow up. So, inevitably, he turned eight just like that. We celebrated with some family, and a lot of video game time. It was a tough decision to forego the big kid party this year, but we just have to draw the line somewhere. He enjoyed his day none the less. I want to point out that I did not make this cake. Costco makes a tasty cake, however, their cake designer position must not have stringent requirements.
