Monday Monday

I love Mondays for the first time in my life. It is the day that I get to use to catch up. The kids (all of them) are in school on Mondays. We all get up, dressed, and out of the house first thing. Then I get 2.5 precious hours of uninterrupted time to accomplish whatever I want. Who am I kidding, I usually clean the kitchen, family room, and on a good day the office. Still I did mention that it is uninterrupted right?

The rest of the day flies by as if in fast forward. The squeals of three two year olds keep an air of animation in the house. Then Ian gets home and creates a current all his own.

I am prepared now to face the week. I have no idea of what I will do this summer when that parcel of control is gone. Funny how attached I have become to the routine. I used to like it when there was something out of sync to spice up a day- now it's just a hassle.

I can so relate to that! I have to take a day of vacation from work every now and again just to do my "catching up" while the kids are at school/daycare. However, I always have expectations of many accomplishments and suffer dissapointment when I fall short. Oh well, there is always next week...
