What to do with your company in Illinois.....

Ian, Staci, and Kennedy at the Field Museum
The same kids at Navy Pier

Kennedy feeling like he was a real farmer driving the lawn mower

It is always an interesting thing to figure out what out of towners would want to do here. Chicago itself is REALLY cool, but it is a challenge out in the burbs to figure out what type of entertainment is possible while managing the 5 kids we have. So what did we come up with???

A trip to Chicago on the train, a water taxi ride to Navy Pier, a visit to the field museum, an ice cream sundae at Ghiridellis, and 3, count them, 3 cab rides.

A ten year old's football game, followed by a trip to the pumpkin farm for apple picking,(and slingshoting) pumpkin patch, a silo full of corn, hay bales, and a really large, confusing corn maze.

A day of relative rest at home. Lawn tractor rides, webkinz, golf watching, football toss, and pizza.

I think it was a full few days.

Thank you ALL for a really awesome time. We enjoyed every minute. The train ride to Chicago, the Museum, baking pumpkin cookies, Sushi dinner, apple launching, apple picking, the pumpkin patch, driving the "tractor" lawnmower, man-eating ladybugs our first and possibly my last corn maze and so many other wonderful memories. Oh, let's not forget "Smencil of the month club" and "No Carebear....Hate it". Ken & Staci both say that their favorite part of our visit to Illinois was being with their cousins. You are warm and generous hosts!!! We are blessed to have family like you!!! Love, Terry, Deb, Ken & Staci Wright P.S. We came home to Santa Ana winds (w/gusts to 70mph) and raging wild fires in LA.
