When we were kids we rode in the car staring out the window (if you got to sit by one, they really used to pack us in back then), counting cars of a certain color, playing the alphabet game with road signs. You had a legitimate reason to ask, "are we there yet"
Flash forward to today's world. We are in the car on the way to Indianapolis. I really mean that we are actually driving there right now. I am typing this on Kevin's laptop with his wireless modem thingy. I have played on facebook, chatted with Jessica on instant messenger, used my cell phone to check e-mail (Ian was on NFL.com), taken turns using the voice-activated commander on the car, which is connected to Ian's i-pod, and even downloaded a copy of The Bible on my Kindle because I forgot mine and wanted to finish my Bible-study homework while we drove. There are also movies, live TV options, and our trusty little navigation system that tells us when we need to turn. Other than a toilet, it is almost like being home.

Just like home minus the toilet AND 4 girls! I remember lying in the back window of the car...it's amazing that any of us survived without the carseats of today! Enjoy your trip!
