The tortise and the Hare
I really have a vision of what my house will look like when all this work is done, but I am having trouble with the slow and steady approach. I hate living in dust, debris, and more chaos than usual. Kevin has been working his tail off to keep on a schedule that will have us ready for the floor finishers on the 19th, but there is still much to do. It isn't that fun rewarding stuff either, like shopping for furniture and rugs, or putting rooms all back together. It is, instead the sorts of work that involve further destruction. (unloading all the kitchen cabinets, or putting yet more furniture where it does not go. ) I wish that we could just devote a couple solid days without interruption to the project, but kids need fed, Kevin has to work, we need to sleep, do laundry, ect..... For now I keep telling myself that slow and steady wins the race, or in this case gets the job done right.
