A Day Full

Today we went to the zoo. It was one of those mornings when I just thought, we don't get enough use from the zoo membership, we should go- and 30 mins later we were on the road. The kids were ecstatic, and for the first time Hadley was actually old enough to notice that there were animals. Her favorite were monkeeeees!! (pretty much any animal with a tail)

After many hours at the zoo, cleaning out the van (a BIG project), and getting changed we were off to the pool. Kevin went along for a change, and we enjoyed the water until closing time.

By that time it was too late to cook, and we hit Quiznos for a few sandwiches.
Days like today are what summer is for. I got no housework accomplished, no grocery shopping done, and spent a whole day listening to my kids enjoy being kids. It is really what has to be done once in a while even if it adds to the projects tomorrow....
