Hard to contain the pride

Ella and Holly go to choir at church on Thursday nights. They really seem to like it. It is all the same kids they have been with at church for years, and some of their favorite teachers. It is singing, and piano, and big kids with speaking parts. Best of all--- they perform on a REAL STAGE!!!

Notice I did not mention Jilly going to choir. She loves all the aforementioned things, however, I think she likes an hour with most of Mom's attention more. Mom, Jill, and Hadley time is a-okay with her.

I am okay with them having their own stuff. They are different people who happened to be born together. They are not supposed to love all the same people, and activities. This does not register with most people. When other moms see me drop Ella and Holly off, they are shocked that Jilly is not going too. I get the look that indicates that I am somehow selfishly depriving her of a little church time for my own gain. When one of the other mom's asked why she is not going, however, Jilly set them straight, "I don't want to go, I HATE church music." Nice, very nice..... She is her father's daughter.

thanks for making me smile this morning! THAT is funny :) (and I'm glad it's not only MY kids who make the kind of comments that make me want to crawl in a hole :)

LOL!! Her comment is too funny!

I want to know what people think that Jilly is doing for you while her sisters are in choir that makes it beneficial to you to not drop her off with Ella and Holly. I mean, do people think that you keep her out of choir so that she can go home make dinner and watch Hadley so that you can take a nap?

I also love that my kids are involved with different things, but it definitely doesn't make life easier.
