I KNOW THAT, and other tidbits

Ian has become kinda funny lately. He is spewing these one liners that let there be no doubt of his paternity. (Not that there was doubt before, other than Hadley calling every strange man no matter how, young, old, or what Daddy)

The other day he thanked me for helping him think, "outside the bun".

Yesterday he organized a 5th grade Cubs day just to annoy the White Sox fan teacher they have. Ian is not really a fan of either, but he chooses the Cubs to align against (in a friendly way) his beloved teacher.

Tonight he asked for help with his math homework.. He never, ever asks for help in math, but he told me that the teacher was so boring today that he had to fight to stay awake, we couldn't possibly have expected him to LEARN anything. I mentioned that he may not want to tell her that, and he responds, "Duh--I know that. Calling the teacher boring to her face...uh not smart!"

It is weird to see how much maturity he has claimed this year. I am loving every minute of my near to be pre-teen.

My vote is to forever change that boring old phrase, "thinking outside the box" to "thinking outside the BUN". I love it!!! Nice one IAN!!!!!
