Learning to live without cheese

I love cheese. Never realized how much until I started this weight loss challenge. Suddenly a slice of cheese on my sandwich became a liability. It's not that I have to live without cheese, more like I have to choose it over something else. Would I rather have cheese or my popcorn snack? Would I rather add cheese, or save those calories for a bowl of soup? There seems to be a decent substitute for almost everything else. Crystal lite, miracle whip light, 40 calorie bread, baked chips, sugar free jello. Have you ever tasted "diet" cheese? It is awful. Sort of like eating the kids play food. For now I guess I have to continue to weigh the consequences. The good news is that there is now only 94% as much of me to love....

I'm still here cheering you on! I know the feeling of giving something up that you love for the sake of a weight loss program. I gave up soda way back in May. There comes a point when you don't really crave it anymore!
