Plugging along without the Dad

Kevin has been travelling since Monday. We miss him. I will admit that I get more done around the house when he is gone, because there is no one to entertain me. It used to be me that never slept when he was gone. Now it seems to be the kids. I would sleep okay if I did not have the whole gang in my bed. Could someone tell me why they can't all just wake up at the same time? It is Ella and Jilly at 1:30, Hadley around 3, Holly at 5, and Ian wanting breakfast when the rest are peacefully asleep at 6:30. I have gotten so efficient at hoisting the kids into the bed, that I am not always sure who is even there until it gets light. I know that you are not supposed to let them sleep with you, but it is a matter of this, or no sleep at all these days.

To those who have asked: The kids are definitely on the mend. I still notice the fatigue, but they are back at school, and back to playing, and demanding food every 10 seconds all day.
