That one day my government will start scheduling holidays in the nice spring weather, or even the crisp Autumn. That when famous people have a birthday in January we might schedule them to be off school in honor of that birthday, not right after a long holiday break, but instead when it is actually nice enough to send them outside to play, to run errands without finding a myriad of coats, boots, hats, and mittens, or to fill the day with anything but food, movies, and video games...
All in all this 5 (yes, I counted) day MLK weekend was a good one. We faced negative temps, and cabin fever, but we adapted. Kevin got to take the girls to swim lessons this morning, and Ian tagged along for lap swim. Hadley learned where her nose is (and everyone else's too). We started the new DVD series Heroes, which I have to grudgingly admit is a darn good show. Better than 24, not as good as Lost.
Tomorrow when the rest of the world's children return to their respective public schools, my girls will have one more day off for teacher planning. That was a way better concept when I was teaching, than when I am trying to entertain crabby 4 year olds at home as the parent. We have Y time in the morning, Mommy must try Yoga again, and they seem to like the play center, only complaining that Hadley won't play with them in there. (Hey, she wants an identity too, not just "the triplets" sister)
Hope you all had a great weekend, and here's to an early spring!
