Saturday

Today was a fun and productive day. Rarely do we get to call it both. I cleaned and organized this morning. It is not really evident now, but I think the first 3 hours of the day were spent on projects like making sure all of Ian's video games were in the right cases. Kevin took down Christmas lights. We don't want to be those people who the neighbors hate for having a skiing Santa in their yard during spring break.

We then took the 4 big kids to Enchanted. It was a pretty decent movie for all of us to see together. Hadley is not ready to be any good at a movie. She had her own personal babysitter instead. Hadley had a 14 year old boy babysitter at her service for 2.5 hours. He even changed a poopy diaper, which is pretty impressive for a boy that age. We are breaking him in slowly. He has watched Ian by himself, and now Hadley. Someday we'll have to unleash the trio on him, but for now they are probably better off in the hands of experience. We have a regular sitter that has been our only sitter for 3 years, but she is getting older, and harder to get, so we are having to break in new blood for that inevitable time when we are on our own.....

Tonight the girls are asleep, and the "men" are deep into the Patriots game, leaving me free to surf. I can't say father/son time is all bad.
