One of those zillion swimmers is Ian warming up
The Natatorium in Indianapolis

Think back to when you were a kid. Hotels held that mystique like no other place in the world. It was an adventure to see the room, check all the drawers, swim in a new pool, eat out.... It is one of those few constants that has not changed in the modern era. My kids love a night in a hotel, and we try to make even the most mundane places feel like an actual vacation. This weekend we watched Ian swim in Indianapolis. It was a big meet that he had to qualify for, and even for only 2 events we made the drive to watch him get like 51st place.
